Day 8 // Mount Toubkal (طوبقال)

Today, we're hiking to the peak of Mount Toubkal! The trek up the jabal will be difficult, but the views are supposed to be breathtaking.

After you reach the top, take a soora or two (or twenty), and make your way down the mountain, you'll have some time to relax a bit.

Luckily, there is a riad that Trek Morocco recommends on its website. Riad Dar Oussagou (whose official website is here) is located in Imlil, the Berber village where the trek starts and ends, and costs 40 euros per night (or 12 euros/night, as long as you're willing to stay in a seven-bed dorm).

How gorgeous is this bedroom?

According to the website, Riad Oussagou offers incredible views of the Berber villages and mountains, an included breakfast, and an on-site restaurant--as well as the option to have the staff cook a traditional Moroccan dinner (like Mohammad and Michele did in Marrakech).

I could definitely take my breakfast like this every day.

The best part about the riad? It has hot showers!
