Love in a Box Blogger Swap (March 2014)

This month, I decided to join the Love in a Box swap hosted by Megan of Lush to Blush and Kimberly of Kimberly's Chronicle. Basically, you get randomly paired up with another blogger with whom to exchange a cute box of gifts, and it's a great way to meet new people and get new goodies at the same time! I got paired up with Brooke of You're In Brookelynn (clever name, right?), who runs a fashion and lifestyle blog. If you like jewelry, floral prints, and pastel colors with a twist, her blog is for you. Check it out!

Now onto the box she sent me... BTW, Brooke really hit the nail on the head with this one.

The first thing I noticed was the card. Even before I opened up the gifts, I knew it was going to be an amazing box--come on, she fit the card to my favorite things! I'm actually planning on framing it as a print (I'm dead serious)!

Of course, next I had to see what the bulky thing was...a candle! I LOVE candles. Like me, the pink stripes are super preppy, and the candle smells great to boot.

This bracelet was the second thing I opened. I love that the pink leather and gems make it girly, but the chain links add an edge. I can't wait to wear it!

WASHI TAPE. I have been wanting washi tape for soooo long, but have never really needed it--you know how it goes. Now I have the perfect excuse to get to crafting and finally try it out!

I told Brooke I love makeup and beauty products, so I was happily surprised to find all of this! There are three eyeshadows, a dual red-orange/gold lipstick, black eyeliner (which I'm already wearing--I've been needing one!), favorite...scented nail polish. I've been seeing everyone post about Revlon's new scented-polish line for quite some time now, so I nearly shrieked when I saw that Brooke gave me a bottle! I just painted my nails with it, and it really does smell like apricots after it dries!

Last but not least, candy. Gummies are my favorite kind of candy, so I was very giddy to see that I got Swedish Fish and Haribo bears!

And just look how cute everything looks together!

Thank you so much, Brooke! You can see what I sent her here. And if you're a blogger and want to sign up for future swaps, click here.

  1. So glad you two worked out well! Also, it's good to know the nail polish actually smells nice. I'll definitely have to go try some!

  2. Yayy I'm so happy you like it! I had a lot of fun shopping for you and getting to know you!

  3. Great box! I have to admit, Brooke's blog name is one of my favorites ever!

  4. Such cute stuff!! I second that thought to frame the card :) Thanks for sharing!

I'd love to hear what you have to say!
