Birchbox Unveiling (June 2014)

June 2014

This month's Birchbox theme was Away We Go, which I obviously loved. Just look how cute their sneak peek video was! Plus, all subscribers have the opportunity to win a free domestic round-trip flight from JetBlue! Let's take a look at my box.

My lovely June box.
Here are the products I received.

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream: full size costs $38; sample value is $2.38

I've been dying to try this stuff, so I was ecstatic that I finally got one in my Birchbox! It feels a bit waxy, and supposedly it helps with dry skin, frizzy hair, and wrinkles. I have my first mini furrow (ugh) and put this cream on it before going to bed last night, and it feels smoother already. Definitely considering buying the full size!

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Creamy Lip Stain in Sugar: full size costs $20; sample value is $9.29

The hype about this lip stain is true. I wasn't thrilled about the color in the packaging, but it looked gorgeous once I put it on. It really is creamy and not sticky at all, and it's a beautiful neutral. The travel size means I'll probably keep it in my tote bag!

Miss Jessie's® Multicultural Curls: full size costs $16; sample value is $1.88

Honestly, I'm not sure why I got this... I'm not multiracial and don't even have curly hair. Luckily, one of my best friends took interest in it, so she's going to try it out! She has super-thick curly hair whereas I have fine hair, so this product should work well for her.

Antica Farmacista Bath & Shower Wash: full size costs $25; sample value is $2.50

This bath wash smells heavenly! I've been looking for a travel-size body wash to start me off when I move to France, so this went in the save-for-France pile.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit: full size costs $24.50; sample value is $6.42

This is another product I've been waiting to try. Of course, I got it within weeks of buying my Clarisonic, so I haven't tested it out yet. I'm really excited to try it, though--it seems to only get good reviews!

Total box value: $22.47

This wasn't my favorite Birchbox, but it was still pretty darn good. The lip stain and Egyptian Magic cream were hits, the Miss Jessie's product was a miss, and I'm waiting to try out the Liz Earle cleanser and body wash. At least the box was representative of this month's theme, though--it has products from all over the world!
