Before I shower, I always wash my face using my Clarisonic Mia2. I use Liquid Neutrogena for my face wash, and it's gentle but effective. Twice a week, after rinsing off the leftover soap, I exfoliate using whatever Birchbox sample I have (right now it's Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator) or do a face mask using AHAVA Natural Dead Sea Body Mud. (Tip: the packaging for this specific AHAVA product isn't resealable, so keep the mud in a Ziploc bag between uses so it doesn't dry out.)
Once my face is clean, I shower. Nothing special here, but if I shave my legs, I slather them with Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion post-shower so the skin doesn't become too dry.
I'm very prone to acne, so now I use some of the stuff my dermatologist prescribed me. There's this foam I put on my chest and back (honestly, I don't even know the name of it), and I use Tazorac on my face. And then put on deodorant and get dressed. Fun, right?
Once the Tazorac has had a minute or two to soak in, I put on moisturizer and eye cream. For my moisturizer, I actually like BijaBody Daily Body Serum. It's an oil, but it soaks right into your skin and feels soft. If I have any particularly dry spots (one side of my nose right now), I dab on some Air Repair Rescue Balm. It has a similar consistency to Vaseline, but it's lighter and smells like lavender.
I found a tiny furrow (UGH), so I'm big into anti-aging right now. Sometimes I use Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum on my entire face (as a preventative measure), but lately I've been dabbing Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream on the problem spot. This product supposedly helps with wrinkles, but only time will tell! I have my eye set on Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream but don't feel like dropping $69 on a wrinkle cream just yet.
Don't think I forgot about my hair! After brushing it out with my Wet Brush, I use one of three products in it: Davines OI/All in One Milk, Beauty Protector Protect & Oil, or 12 Benefits Instant Healthy Hair Treatment. All of them reduce frizziness and act as a heat protector, and they smell nice to boot!
The final steps are moisturizing my lips, arms, and hands. I love using Air Repair Rescue Balm on my lips (like I said before, it works wonders), and Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion on my arms and hands.
There you have it! I know that was super long, but now do you understand why it takes me forever and a day to get ready for bed? Let me know what your bedtime beauty routine is--I'm always interested in seeing what others do!
