For those of you who are unfamiliar with The Look For Less, a shopper has a budget of between $100-200 and gets paired with a professional stylist to recreate a runway look from head to toe. On the show, the shopper only gets two outfit options and one hour to shop, but those rules are out the window here. I've set my "budget" for $150 ($100 went a lot further back then), but after taxes (it's 6% in Michigan), that's only $141.50. Let's get started!
I've chosen to recreate a look from Joie's Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear Collection.
Isn't it perfect for summer? I love that it's almost entirely and looks super comfortable. However, the designer price tag is approximately $425...no way I could afford that! Here's how I'd recreate this look:
Rather than a single top, I chose a sheer, slouchy white tank from Tildon ($28) and a coral bandeau from Shimera ($18) to go underneath. The bandeau will give you more coverage (as it is a low-back top), and the sheer white layered over the coral will produce a similar color to the stripes in the Joie top.
For the pants, I chose the ASOS Luxe Pants In Slouch Fit ($66.69). Although they don't have the bunched ankle, the waistband and pleating are similar and they look structured enough that they won't be see-through. I also love the side-zipper!
These white strappy sandals from Kohl's ($24.99) will be perfect for those breezy days! Like the shoes featured in the Joie look, they buckle, so you'll never have to worry about them slipping off your feet.
And there you have it! For a grand total of $145.95 ($137.68 before taxes), you can look like you hopped straight off of the Joie runway. Isn't this fun?
